A painting for the living room
The living room is where a painting works hardest: you see it every day and guests see it first. An original work above the sofa or sideboard instantly gives the room character.
The right size above the sofa
A rule of thumb: choose a work about two thirds the width of your sofa, hung with its lower edge some 25 centimetres above the backrest. If you doubt between two sizes, take the larger one; a painting that is too small gets lost. On the Interior suggestions page you can see works by Sarah in real interiors, with their sizes.
Calm or a statement piece
Above a busy bookcase a calm still life works well; above a clean-lined sofa a portrait or a work with a story can be the eye-catcher. The deep blues and warm tones in her work suit both light and dark interiors remarkably well. Every work is a unique original, so your wall will literally be the only one with this painting.

What size painting fits above the sofa?
About two thirds of the width of the sofa. For a 2.40 metre sofa, a work or combination of about 1.60 metres wide fits well.
Can I see how a work looks in an interior?
Yes, the Interior suggestions page shows the paintings in real interiors, with a button straight to each work.
What if the painting does not fit after all?
You have fourteen working days to reconsider, so you can quietly try the work at home.
